Thing 2.

Hey guys!!
So my last blog entry was about the 7 1/2 Habits to Lifelong Learners presentation. That was my first blog I have EVER written!! For this post, I will share with you my experience on setting up my blog and creating my avatar.

I have NO previous experience with writing my own blog. This is something completely new to me!! I never thought I would ever set up a blog and share my thoughts with you all on this process. Setting up the blog wasn't too hard for me, but I think that's only because we did it as a group, so I could follow along with Dr. Sigears and my classmates! I think if I were at home all alone, I definitely would have struggled. I was pretty creative when choosing my blog name Laura's 23 Things. I'm not too sure how my sarcasm conveys through writing, but I was being facetious when I said I was creative. I have never been confident in my creativity, so I usually am pretty original. You know the saying "think outside the box?" I always responded saying, "Here's my box. And I'm staying right here in the middle." I think this class is definitely making me think outside the box, which isn't a bad thing!!  As for reading and writing, this is probably my first experience writing. I never really kept a journal as a child or teenager. But if you read my last post, you know that I did keep a quote journal my freshman year of college!! I'm still on a search for that journal. I'm determined to find it!! As for reading other blogs, I have read a few blogs. I have some friends that do photography, and blogging is popular for the photography world. But, I think photography blogs are pretty interesting!

As for my avatar... I think she does represent me. I gave her glasses because I have terrible vision. I usually try to wear contacts, but you might see me once or twice in my glasses. She has a coffee cup in her hand because I love coffee!! I could drink it all the time, except at night.. Then I wouldn't be able to sleep very well and would have to really rely on coffee the following day. Also, my avatar has her hair up in a bun, which is how you will most always see me. I might start my day with my hair down, but it always gets in my way, so it's just easier to throw it up in a bun most days!!

I'll finish my Thing 2 blog by saying I never thought I would be here blogging, but here I am!! I look forward to blogging with my peers this semester and reading what they have to say about everything we do! :)
