In Thing 11, I wrapped up the section about RSS and how teachers, or anyone really can use RSS to help make life a little bit more simple.
In this blog post, I get the opportunity to explore Google!!
In this Discovery Exercise, I decided to explore Google Translate and Google Plus Photos.
Google Translate comes in handy for me a lot. I have half of my family in Korea. And although I can speak, write, and understand a lot of Korean. There's still a lot that I have to learn. Google translate is great because I can use it to translate email's from family members when I don't know what is trying to be said. As with any translator, it's not perfect, and the English translation won't be perfect, but it's good enough to let me know what family members are trying to tell me!
Google Plus Photos is awesome because it has a bunch of photo editing tools that can make your photos look better, and maybe even more professional! It's also nice, because it always backs up your photos, so in case your computer crashes or you lose your memory card, Google Plus Photos already has your images saved.
Google Translate can be used educationally for ELL students. Often times, there are language barriers, and Google is here to help us overcome those barriers!
